The series explores the phenomenon of “Sleep Paralysis” – the moment when consciousness awakens, but the physical body remains rigid. The blockage of movement, combined with the state of wakefulness, gives rise to a sense of real threat. The bed – a usual place of rest, becomes a scene of psychic lability. Perceptions are distorted, and space loses its stability. This discrepancy generates images that belong neither to sleep nor to reality.
