“Rakursi” gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of collages by Stéphane Patrick Moisset – Zaïzaï.

The French artist, born and raised in Paris, has been living in Bulgaria since 2012. This is his first solo exhibition, in which he shows his author’s collages, created as a reaction to world political and social events. The passion for collage literally hit Zaïzaï around the beginning of Russia’s war in Ukraine. Then he feels the need to express his soul deeply shaken by the political madness, and collage as a form turns out to be the best way to do this. In this work, he enjoys the slow and careful gathering of details and the creation of new context from pre-existing images and content. He accepts his occupation in that dismissive way in which artists think about their works when the process of creation brings them only pleasure.

The idea for the exhibition came from the actress Martina Vachkova, who inspired the Rakursi gallery to show the crazy and colorful world of Zaïzaï.
