Rakursi Art Gallery introduces for the third time a summer exhibition of young authors starting on June 28th, 2011.
The project of the artist Yavora Petrova is called “Variations on a Theme” and gives an opportunity to each author to contemplate on a theme that is exciting for them. The result are variations that sometimes evolve from the change of mood or weather, or the point of view. In other cases they are connected with the media – the diaphragm of the lense or the palette of oils. Variations are also a part of the working process – steps to the final piece. The exhibition binds together different media – painting, sculpture, photography, installation and an interaction project. Young artists are provoked to present a few interpretations on a theme which is exciting for them in the way they prefer. As a result we have a very diverse exhibition. The common thing between the authors is that they are young and gifted. They all have their own contrasting individuality and personal philosophy.
