On February 18, 2021, Rakursi Art Gallery presents the exhibition of models of UNESCO World Culture Heritage Sites – Rila Monastery in Bulgaria, Alhambra Palace in Spain, Cathedral of St. James in Croatia and Basilica of Aquileia in Italy. The models are made in relief 3D models, equipped with sensors that reproduce audio information in different languages. Thereby the visually impaired people are provided with access to the sites by combining tactile and audio information about the history, architecture, location and works of art of the objects. The team of Rakursi Art Gallery enriched the information and answered questions. After the exhibition, the group will travel to the Rila Monastery, where the model of the monastery will be left for use for visitors with visual impairments.
Rakursi Gallery is part of a consortium of organizations from six countries under the EU COSME program.
