Yavor Kostadinov

Yavor Kostadinov (b. 1993, Plovdiv, Bulgaria) is a visual artist working primarily in painting and drawing. He holds a Bachelor’s (2016) and Master’s (2018) degree in Painting from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, and studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan 2015.
2019 – 2021, he served as asst. lecturer in painting at NAA Sofia. Nominated for the BAZA Award for Contemporary Art – YVAA (2020, 2022) and was a resident at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2021. A member of the UBA (AIAP) since 2020, his work has been shown in solo and collective exhibitions across Bulgaria and in international group shows. He is also part of the collective behind Galeriata, an independent artist-run space in Plovdiv. His recent work explores nature as a removed and vague space; other recurring themes in his practice are metaphysics in everyday life, introspection and memory.
