Biography:
Born: 1953 in Sofia.
Education: 1979 – Sculpture at the National Art Academy – Sofia, in the class of prof. Velichko Minekov
Hristo Haralampiev creates small and monumental sculpture, works also in the field of drawing. Since 1983 he has taught at the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, Sofia, and from 2000 he is a professor at the department „Drawing and Modeling“ of the same university. He is a professor in “Sculpture” in the National Art Academy, Sofia.
He has more than 30 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Czech Republic.

1988 – Award for sculpture from National exhibition, Montana
1996 – Award for relief from National Sculpture exhibition, Sofia
2000 – Award of Ministry of Culture for contribution in development of bilgarian culture
2003 – Award “The Golden feather”, gallery “Makta” and Radio FM Classic
2005 – The Annual Award of gallery „Ikar“
2005 – “The Golden Staves” of Union of Bulgarian Composers for work on music themes
Hristo Haralampiev is the president of the Union of Bulgarian Artists between 1999 – 2004.
Works of Hristo Haralampiev are possessed by Bulgarian National Gallery, Sofia City Gallery, Association “Art Dialogue”, France, Аtelier-gallery “Svetlin Roussev”, art gallerie in the country, and by private collections in Bulgaria, France, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, USA, Canada, Poland, South Korea, etc.
