Antonia Angelova

Antonia Angelova graduated “Sculpture” in the class of Prof. Emil Popov at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia.
She is currently doing her doctorate (PhD) at the National Academy of Arts.
Having grown up in the Rhodopes, she brings the specific feeling of authenticity of people and spirit, which fills the works she creates.
“Antonia Angelova cannot be defined in any aesthetic means or ways. She devotes herself spontaneously and strongly with talent and love to her art. Antonia is one of the rarest young artists – she looks deeply into the elements of folklore, into faces, figures of people and animals, landscapes, in order to make them the subject of her works”, prof. Emil Popov says about her.
She has had solo exhibitions (and/or been part of group projects) in Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden.
