About the Gallery
Rakursi is private gallery for contemporary art opened in 2004 by Rositsa Chusheva and Rumyana Yoneva in the Sofia city center.
The gallery is a living space with its own identity and active program, open for different kind of media.
The gallery works with a wide range of Bulgarian and international artists whose works bring significant messages for the contemporary life and presents emerging artists. It realizes own curatorial projects, participates in Art Fairs (Art Ireland 2007, Art Athens 2016), festivals and presents contemporary Bulgarian art abroad (Berlin, London, Antwerp).
The gallery collaborates with universities, schools and institutions on projects linked in cultural and creative industries.
The aim of the gallery is to broaden the dialogue among the artists, art lovers and art collectors, to communicate with young people and to bring art to public of different backgrounds.
The gallery’s team works with different communities on socially committed projects.
